Finance and inventory
Record an operating expense
Keep the expense's purpose, amount and evidence together.
The tour highlights tools and explains them. You enter data and confirm any operation yourself after closing the tour.
Before you begin
Confirm that the amount is an actual expense and that you have the required permission.
How to do it
Choose the right record
Review existing expenses first. Open the appropriate expense or add a new one through the provided form.
Describe and review the amount
Enter the category or description, amount, date and available method or reference fields. Attach evidence when the form supports it.
Save and reconcile
Save and locate the expense in the list. Review its amount and date against the relevant report period.
Check the result
The intended expense appears once and can be traced in the expense list and reports.
Useful guidance
Use payroll and supplier-payment records for their own obligations instead of recording the same payment again as a separate expense.
